Guyana: Georgetown – St. George’s Anglican Cathedral
Supposedly, St. George’s Anglican Cathedral in the heart of Georgetown is the world’a tallest wooden church. Built in 1892, it’s 143 feet high (43.5 meters). The church stands alone in a square with plenty of sunlight hitting it from all sides. The white-painted exterior is impressive, but once you get inside – it’s far more stunning with gothic arches, tall windows, and sunrays coming through multicolor stained windows.
