Hawaii/Big Island: Wildlife on Big Island
Hawaii is not famous for wildlife but there is still plenty of bird and a few mammals to spot. Besides nene geese, our in-house birder spotted a whole bunch of small birds, mostly quite colorful finches, a few duck species. Mongooses were seen running around a few times, and a couple reptiles were truly stunning in colors, including a horned chameleon.
