Ibiza: Amnesia – Ibiza Trance – Ferry Corsten, Billy Gillis, KIMMIC

The legendary Amnesia club in Ibiza is celebrating its 50th anniversary this years with a a massive “50 Years of Dancing” anniversary campaign. The Ibiza Trance night features some of the top trance deejays globally, different each week. Kimmic,, Ferry Corsten, Billy Gillis, and finally Giuseppe Ottaviani took control of the Amnesia dance floor for the night. Kimmic is a relatively new Scottish deejay duo, spinning uplifting hi energy trance and with a lot of sampling from older hits. Ferry Corsten is more of a father figure to trance – the Dutch deejay has been around since the 1990s as a massive global driving force, operating under legendary aliases like System F and Gouryella (his historic partnership with Tiësto). He most certainly helped construct the foundation of the trance genre, but his current tracks a more a bit dull. Next was Billy Gillies, a northern Irish deejay with quite a following – spinning powerful trance at high speeds and almost transitioning into hard trance and mainroom techno – supper aggressive and melodic!
