Giuseppe Ottaviani is widely regarded as one of the most technically gifted producers and performers in electronic music today, a true superstar. A pianist by training, his tracks are super multi-layered, melodic and beautiful. The style is vocal trance, melodic techno, techno trance and hard trance – all seamlessly bounded into a massive energy punch. This is the good stuff!! Despite how hard and fast the beats are, the breakdowns are sweeping, cinematic, and melodic – a testament to his classical piano roots. Being in Ibiza – you are in the front row literally face to face with a deejay – and I asked him to play his famous remake of Scooter’s Hyper Hyper (I flashed the title on the phone). And he literally played the track next! Totally surreal.
