Ibiza: Amnesia – Resistance – Adam Bayer & HI-LO

The Resistance show at Amnesia (voted the world’s best club) took place at both floods – the Main & the Terrace. On the Main floor, it was headlined by Adam Bayer and finished by HI-LO. Adam Bayer, originally from Sweden, has been a fixture of the club scene and a constant presence in deejay rankings from 2003. His style is associated with techno, often rather monotonous and percussive but energetic and driving (peak techno), which is experiencing somewhat a revival this year, but still is far from mainstream. HI-LO is actually the alias of Dutch DJ and producer Oliver Heldens, who is more known for house music production and has been in top 20 ranked deejays for the past half a dozen years (#12 last year). As classic rave sound and pounding acid techno rose to popularity this year, he chose to perform as HI-LO and the sets are pure dark rave energy!
