Ibiza: Ibiza Dalt Vila aka Old Town
The old town of Ibiza (or Eivissa in Catalan) is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. The Dalt Vila (or upper town) is located on a tall mountain overlooking the sea and harbor and dates back nearly 2500 of years. The entire old town is protected by a massive fortress and on the very top of the mountain there are several churches and a cathedral, large squares, and sweeping panoramic views. Getting up here requires fairly steep walking up narrow cobblestone streets in 40 degree heat, several tunnel passageways and spiral staircases. But the panoramas and medieval atmosphere are truly priceless.
