Ibiza: HI Ibiza – Theater & The Lab – Sven Vath

HI Ibiza is another famous superclub in Ibiza (this used to be legendary Space club before being bought out and remodeled by the same team that owned Ushuaia just across the street). The club is actually three-in-one with a main floor called the Theater, a second floor called the Club, and a smaller place in between called the Lab. The Theater usually has big name headliners and it’s packed to the rim – it was the Metamarohisi show by house veteran Joseph Capriati and featuring the techno legend Sven Vath. The German deejay Sven Vath is a true legend of techno and dance music, his career spans four decades and he is 60 years old. He’s often called the “Pope of Techno”. While popular and with a visually impressive show – it’s a bit of a too tech house and house for my taste – not enough energy.
