Ibiza: Ushuaia – Tomorrowland – MATTN, Kevin de Vries, Mairee

Once a week Ushuaia Beach Club in Ibiza gets transformed into a Tomorrowland-like stage as Dimitri Vegas & Like Mike (who stood behind the creation of the world’s most famous and biggest festival in Belgium) bring it here. Before the headliners came out late in the night, three big acts performed first – Mattn, Kevin de Vries, Mairee. The Belgian superstar Mattn (and the wife of Dimitri Vegas) played an energizing mix ranging from big room to the latest hypertechno and neorave, a lot of it – her own productions – very mainstream an festival-oriented. Kevin de Vries is a German superstar with a completely different style – he is one of the biggest deejays in melodic techno scene (like Anyma and Artbat). If fact, he is very closely associated with Tale of Us that pretty much invented the style – big atmospheric “ripping” synthlines, slower tempo, pounding drumkick, and massive melodies – long buildups crashing into pure energy. Finally, Mairee is a Slovak deejay with a totally differently style – bouncy mainstream house and slap house – tight rolling kicks, snappy bass lines, and high-tempo arrangements.
