Ibiza: Ushuaia – Tomorrowland – Timmy Trumpet B2B Dimitri Vegas
And the headline event at the Ushuaia’s Tomorrowland was a rare joint act of Timmy Trumpet B2B Dimitri Vegas. With these two together – it’s not just a standard DJ set – you are getting a full-throttle mainstage festival crossover unrivaled in intensity, showmanship, and name energy. Both of their styles have dramatically evolved from the big room EDM to aggressive hard techno, psytrance meets hardstyle, pounding hypertechno and neorave, and sped up high BPM remakes of their own earlier classics and 90s tracks. Both of them hardly stand behind the decks to deejay – they jump up on the stage and hop around (particularly Timmy Trumpet galloping around with a trumpet in his hand and a bottle of vodka in the other). It’s not that much about mixing and deejaying skills, but rather about rallying the crowds into hand-waving stupor. And compared to all previous years, this year has sped up and hardened up massively.
