Iceland: Exploring Snaefelsness National Park
Most of the Snæfellsnes Peninsula is protected as Snæfellsnes National Park. In the heart of the park lies Snæfellsjokull Volcano covered by the glacier with the same name. You can circumnavigate the peninsula along its coast, enjoying spectacular landscapes of snow-covered glaciated mountains. And the best part is taking the road through the middle of the peninsula, all under snow in the middle of winter.
