Iceland: Ingjaldsholskirkja Church

Ingjaldsholskirkja is absolutely stunningly located on high ground with the backdrop of the Snaefellsjokull glacier icecap and the foreground of endless lupine fields. It’s a standalone church in the middle of nowhere – mountains on one side and ocean on the other. Beyond picturesque, this happens to be the oldest stone church in Iceland, built in 1903.
