India: Amer – Panna Menna Stepwell
Outside of the Amber Fort walls, in the heart of the Amer town is another worthy attraction – an awesome yellow sandstone 450-year old Panna Menna Stepwell. This one is not as deep and grand as the Chand Baori (see Post 16), but more colorful and in a gorgeous setting. It was primarily a meeting place for the town during the hot summer months.
