India: Kanha NP – The Last Tiger
It was the end of the last of the 8 game drives in Kanha and Pench National parks with half of them having had tiger sightings. As the safari jeeps were on their way to exit the park before the 6:30pm gate closure, everything came to a complete halt as a tiger was literally on the road, almost in the open. She leisurely posed for the camera, marked her territory and several trees, walked within just feet of the vehicles (mine included, literally within 2-3m/5-10ft away). A fantastic farewell to an insane week of tiger watching in the heart of India.
