India: Mumbai – Victorian Architecture of Mumbai
The historic downtown part of Mumbai is packed with historic 19th century Victorian gothic architecture, as well as 20th century Art Deco. 94 buildings altogether are included as a combined UNESCO World Heritage Site. As you stroll along the broad avenues, there are grand buildings lining up along, including the Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Vastu Sangrahalaya aka Prince of Wales Museum, the Mumbai University, Bank of India and finally culminating at an absolutely enormous Victoria Terminus Railway Station (next post).
