India: Thekaddy – Spice Route

Moving in to Kerala, and the road steeply climbs into the Western Ghats and beautiful mountings landscape of cooler air and fog. The area around Thekaddy is know for spice plantations – black pepper, cardamom, cinnamon, nutmeg, ginger, and cloves. There is an even a Spice Route with multiple centers along the way where the spices are explain and shops pitch various concoctions from all imaginable ailments. Its a bit gimmicky, but still somewhat interesting.
