Iran: Milad Tower in Tehran
The tallest building in Iran (and the 17-th tallest free-standing structure in the whole world) is the Milad Tower. It rises 435m / 1427 ft high and it took 12 years to built with final completion in 2008. A fast elevator takes you up to the observation platform which offers spectacular panorama of the sprawling Tehran, and lights of traffic and streets spreading as far as the eye can see as the night falls on the city.
