Ireland: Dunguaire Castle

Dunguaire Castleis 16th-century tower castle sitting right on the rocky shore of Galway Bay. The castle’s 75-foot (23 m) tower is a great example of the medieval fortified tower, but sadly it’s not open for tourists and has been shut since 2023. It’s been features in a couple movies in the 1990s.
