Israel: Jerusalem – Austrian Pilgim Hospice
One of the most spectacular panoramas of Old Jerusalem can be had from the rooftop of the Austrian Pilgim Hospice, located in the heart of the old city and right on the Via Dolorosa. The views are insane of the complex of churches with the Church of the Holy Sepulchre right next door, while dozens of other dome and cupola are visible along the cityscape. The Austrian Pilgrim Hospice was founded by Austrian pilgrims in 1871 and served as a place of rest and refuge for Austrian Christian pilgrims visiting the Holy Land – prime real estate in the holy city! TO this day, pilgrims can still stay here in the heart of the old city.
