Israel: Jerusalem – Church of Holy Sepulchre
This is the church where Jesus was supposedly crucified, buried, and resurrected. While ordinary from outside, it’s ornate inside and filled with relics that are just insanely mobbed by pilgrims. The atmosphere is dark and solemn surrounded by ancient walls. The control over the building is shared by several different churches with Eastern Orthodox Patriarchy of Jerusalem having it as its headquarters.
