Italy: Parma
Parma has a full package of historic and food attractions. The Duomo aka Cathedral stands on the heart of the city with a 63m bell tower and beautiful painted interior and crypt. Next to the duomo is the Baptistry (worthy of a separate next post). There are several palaces, theaters, more churches, and pretty colorful buildings lining up the city blocks. And of course the Parma prosciutto ham and Parmesan cheese!
