Italy: Milan – Milan’s Duomo (Cathedral)
Milan’s cathedral (duomo) is the world famous massive gothic cathedral and the largest in Italy. In fact, it is the fifth largest cathedral in the world. It took six centuries to build and is one of the oldest Christian cathedrals in Europe. It’s massive spires and domes occupy the central square of Milan and the building is spectacular from every viewpoint. As a serious thunderstorm was about to hit Milan, the evening sky was particularly impressive.
