Japan/Honshu: Okayama Castle
Okayama Castlewas built in 1597, destroyed in WWII, and then fully reconstructed. It is know as the “Crow Castle” for its black exterior, the color comes from the dark wood used in its construction (this is in stark contrast to the nearby Himeji Castle which is all white).
