Jeju Island: Manjanggul Lava Cave
The entire Jeju Island is volcanic so naturally almost all natural features are of volcanic origin. Manjanggul Lava Tube is one of the longest in the world, nearly 9km long. You walk on very uneven surface in 100% humidity surrounded by everything black and peculiar lava formations on the walls and ceilings. The world’s largest lava column is located here at the end of the underground walk of about 1.5km. It’s a bit crowded at times with Koreans and selfie-sticks but still an awesome site to imagine how a river of molten rock flowed here.
