Kazakhstan: Kyzylkup Badlands
If Boszhira landscapes didn’t blow your mind, head to Kyzylkup Badlands. Similar to the Badlands National Park in the USA, this one is even more colorful and spectacular and larger. It’s locally known as Tiramisu Canyon and clearly resemble the cake – layers or orange, yellow, red, brown, and white. You can hike all around the canyons and climb on top of the ridges for panoramic views. Equally exhilarating is descending down into the canyons – real water-washed narrow slot canyons in places – and hike and squeeze through narrow passageways. And the best part – you have this stunning Martian landscape all to yourselves.
