Kenya: Mount Kenya – Descending Mount Kenya via Naro Moru Route

Descending Mt Kenya via a different route – Naro Moru Route – presents even more spectacular deep glacial Teleki Valley. From the Mackinder Camp at 4200 m / 13400 ft you go down the side of the valley for 17km to the Met Station Hut at 3000 m / 10000 ft. Along the way – the mountain looms in the background, thick lobelia forests cover the valley walls, and a view of the Aberdale mountains opens up in the far away distance.
