Kenya: Mount Kilimanjaro Views
East of Amboselli National Park, you can get get on a road that goes eventually to Tanzania and offers superb panorama of Mount Kilimanjaro on a clear day. And we got lucky – not a cloud in the sky and perfect morning light! Kilimanjaro the highest single free-standing mountain in the world at 5895 m (19341 ft) above sea level and about 4900 m (16100 ft) above its plateau base. The top is ice-capped with glaciers, albeit rapidly disappearing.
