Kenya: Samburu NP – Elephants’ Bedroom Camp

Elephant Bedroom Camp is the place to stay in the Samburu National Park. It’s a luxury safari camp with an added wildlife experience of elephants literally walking up INTO your bedroom. The massive tents stand on wooden platforms, with all the amenities inside, even an individual plunge pool. A huge male elephant just walked up to the neighboring tent and stuck its trunk into the pool to help himself to cool water. Supposedly, previously another elephant put his tusks through the tent when he didn’t like the noise from inside. © All photos by Rus Margolin.
