Kenya: Tsavo East NP – Game Drives
Besides the herds of red elephants, Tsavo East had quite a lot of wildlife to be seen. No lions or leopards or cheetahs here (the park is immense), but plenty of other mammals – harterbeest, zebra, Grant’s gazelles, black-backed jackals (including a huge family of five), waterbucks, oryx, and zebras – all set against stunning landscapes of green savanna and red soil. We also saw the famous Tsavo monitor lizards that grow here to humongous sizes. And finally – fields of wildflowers!
