Kurdistan: Jalil Khayat Mosque in Erbil

Jalil Khayat Mosque is a brand new hue mosque that opened in 2007 I the very heart of Erbil. The mosque resembles very closely the Blue Mosque in Istanbul in Turkey. Two 65-meter minarets tower high above the domed mosque building richly decorated in blue tiles. The mosque occupies 15 thousand square meters and accommodates 2000 worshipers.
