Kyrgyzstan: Bishkek
Bishkek, the capital of Kyrgyzstan and known as Frunze during the Soviet times, met us with rain. Still, the central attractions of the city center – the National Parliament, the guard changing ceremony next to the giant flag, Ala Too Square, statue of Manas on a horse, Lenin statue (without a horse), and much more – were on full display. Since my previous time here – a couple more revolutions have happened and there are new monuments associated with that.
