Kyrgyzstan: Tian Shan Mountains
Tian Shan Mountain range lies in the border region of Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, and China in the Central Asia. It’s a hard-to-get-to but incredibly beautiful landscape of sharp snow-covered peaks and immense glaciers everywhere. The two highest peaks are Victory Peak at 7,439 meters (24,406 ft) and Khan Tengri at 7,010 meters (23,000 ft), both easily visible on a clear day. Flowing in between them is the 61km long South Inylschek glacier, so wide and huge that it is visible from space. One can take a helicopter flight over the glacier and into the high peaks (Russian military MI-8 so not for the faint-hearted).
