Lampedusa: Lampedusa Island From Air

Lampedusa is a rather small island in the Mediterranean and looks stunning from the air. Aerial views reveal its rugged coastline, crystal-clear waters, and sandy beaches. The island’s compact size—about 20 sq km—shows off its mix of flat terrain and rocky cliffs, with the main town and port hugging the eastern side. Lampedusa lies about 205 km south of Sicily, 113 km east of Tunisia, and 170 km west of Malta – so it’s actually closer to North Africa than mainland Europe and lies on the African continental shelf.
