Laos: Vientiane – Around the City
Vientiane is the capital as largest city in Laos. The central part is a fairly compact grid of streets filled with mostly hotels, restaurants, and many temples all along the Mekong. The entire embankment is a marketplace. Other attractions are the Presidents Palace, a giant Chao Anouvong Statue, and seemingly endless temples that you can explore inside and out.
