Lesotho: Maseru – Maseru Cathedral
The Maseru Cathedral aka Our Lady of Victories Cathedral, is the main Roman Catholic church in Maseru, the capital city of Lesotho, and most certainly the most imposing and prominent building. Christianity is the predominant religion in the landlocked Lesotho and about 95% of the population are Christian, and mostly Catholic (the French missionaries brought the religion here in the 19th century). The cathedral was built in 1935 out of local stone (so it blends nicely in the surrounding).
