Lesotho: Semonkong Lodge

Semonkong is a small village smack in the middle of Lesotho, literally meaning “Place of Smoke” for the nearby spectacular Maletsunyane Falls. There is a fantastic lodge here, nestles high in the Maloti Mountains , with panoramic views and great sunsets / Semonkong Lodge. You sleep in traditional Basotho-style stone-and-thatch rondavels, degned for comfort in the cold mountain climate, and equipped with fireplaces and blankets for colder nights. And the restaurant serves very good traditional food!
