Liechtenstein: Vaduz
Liechtenstein is a tiny country in the middle of Europe. It’s is double land-locked (meaning countries surrounding it – Switzerland and Austria – are also landlocked). Only 35k people live here and it’s a constitutional monarchy headed by a prince. Liechtenstein has the highest GDP per capita in the world. It’s only 62 sq miles of mountainous alpine land with several towns and ancient castles. Vaduz is the capital city – super squeaky clean, somewhat empty but still nice to stroll around, with a couple gothic churches and the Vaduz Castle perched high above the town on a near vertical cliff.
