Macao: Fortaleza do Monte

Fortaleza do Monte (Mount Fortress) stands on the hill right above the St Pauls Cathedral ruins and has 360 decree views of Macao. It was built in 1617 to protect the Portuguese settlement from the pirates. Steep walls and gun batteries point in all directions. It is a UNESCO World Heritage site.
