Madagascar: Avenue of the Baobabs
This is the most iconic sight in the entire Madagascar. It really is just a couple dozen of huge baobab trees lined along the red soil dirt road and the adjoining small lake north of Morondava. People come from all over the world to see this striking yet simple landscape. The baobab trees growing here belong to one of the six endemic Madagascar species (more specifically – Adansonia Grandidieri), this is the largest baobab species in the world. And when the sun sets – WOW – this is just one if the most spectacular panorama I have ever seen!
