Madagascar: Kirindy Forest Reserve nocturnal hike
Kirindy Forest Reserve is one of the best places in Madagascar to go on a nocturnal lemur-spotting tour, as there are 6 nocturnal and 2 diurnal species here. The world’s smallest lemur – Madame Berth’s Mouse Lemur – can only be found here, weighing a mere 30 grams (just like a shot of vodka in America or a third of a shot of vodka in Russia). It’s the world’s smallest primate! The world’s second smallest lemur – Grey Mouse Lemur – is also here. I got to spot multiple individuals of both species plus also the Red-Tailed Sportive Lemur and the Fork-Marked Lemur
