Madagascar: Manambolo River by pirogue
Manambolo river separates Tsingy National Park from the savanna in the south, it’s a fantastic river to cruise in a traditional twin pirogue (basically two canoes tied up into a catamaran). There are several caves peppered along the river with spectacular formations inside. The river banks rise sharply in tall overhanging cliffs with Tsingy spires rising further up just a bit further inland.
