Madagascar: Palmarium Reserve – Exploring
The Palmarium Reserve (also known as the Akanin’ny Nofy Reserve, meaning “Nest of Dreams”) is a private nature, protecting a 50 hectare piece of virgin wet coastal forest, some swamps, and white sandy beach of Lake Ampitabe. Dominated by endemic Malagasy plants, including pandanus, orchids, and palms, the forest is also full of endemic animals and insects, several species of lizards and geckos, and many frogs. There are also 11 species of endemic and introduced lemurs
