Madagascar: Palmarium Reserve – Nocturnal Tours

Never skip the night walks in Madagascar – it’s an opportunity to see absolutely unique nocturnal animals. At Palmarium Reserve, we saw several species of frogs, sleeping birds, various bugs and beetles (including stick insects), spiders, and even a snake! And of course chameleons! And of course nocturnal lemurs (next post). Oh, and we got super lucky to see tenrec, a hedgehog-like mammal endemic to Madagascar only!
