Madagascar: Pangalanes Channel – Cruising
To continue to our next destination – a super remote forest lodge and one of the only places in Madagascar with a chance to see the super rare Aye Aye lemur – we had to travel by boat up the Pangalanes channel connecting three different lakes – Rasoabe, Rasoamasay, and Ampitabe. As you move between the lakes, you pass through narrow stretches of the Pangalanes Canal, surrounded by dense tropical vegetation. The green surroundings are broken only by occasional fishing boats and clusters of small villages, and super white sand beaches.
