Madagascar: Tsingy Rouge
This geological oddity exists only in Madagascar and nowhere else. Soil erosion resulting from deforestation has created canyons of these incredible formations made from red and yellow sand and clay. It’s spectacular to look from above the canyon rim and then to hike into them, they are fragile and break easily, and many disappear and reform again with every round of the rain season. It does remind me of Bryce Canyon albeit it is completely different structurally.
