Malaysia: Johor – Endless Palm Plantations
Johor is the southernmost state of peninsula Malaysia and used to have miles and miles of untouched rainforests. Sadly, the ownership of once protected federal forest land has been partially transferred to the Sultan of Johor who quickly turned to clearing and chopping the forest and planting the lucrative palm plantations. Now it’s palm plantations as far as the eye can see.
