Mali: Bamako – Women’s Museum
Another interesting museum in Bamako is Musee de la Femme aka Women’s Museum. It describes the history and life of women in Mali, including famous women and women from different strata of society and ways of life. The most interesting part of the museum is the exhibit full of mannequins dressed in their national costumes – Bambara, Fulani, Dogon, Tuareg, Senoufo, Bozo, Mandinka, Soninke, and so on. There are also exhibits in textiles and history.
