Mallorca: Pollença Markets
The market square of Pollenca hosts one of the most spectacular farmer’s markets I have seen in Mediterranean. Agriculture is the second revenue generator here after tourism. Fresh fruits and vegetables of Mallorca bursting from the oversized stalls – local oranges and lemons are world-famous, as are olives and almonds, the tomatoes are the size of my head, the bell peppers are humongous, and strawberries are fresh and flavorful.
