Malta: Marsaxlokk

Everybody rushes to the crowded Valetta, Malta’s capital, but there is a cool and quaint little fishing town of Marsaxlokk on the eastern coast of the island. It’s a small town of only 3K people, a fishing village really, but given its picturesque harbor, it is home to about 70% of the island’s fishing fleet. There are lots of colorful Maltese fishing boats, a beautiful church – Church of Our Lady of Pompeii, lots of seafood restaurants, and plenty of salty air.
