Marquesas Islands: Marquesas Islands Food Recap
The Marquesas Islands cuisine bears similarities with The rest of French Polynesia – there’s the ubiquitous raw tuna in coconut milk (poisson cru), or tartare or grilled. There’s taro and breadfruit. But the mountain terrain and high plateau are perfect for goat and wild pigs that are very prominent on the Marquesan table. The fruit variety is great as well including massive pomelos growing everywhere, and bananas baked into traditional ultra sweet pudding.
