Marshall Islands/Majurol: Majuro Lagoon – Cruising by Boat
To truly understand and experience the Marshall Islands and Majuro Atoll, one needs to get on the water and cruise the lagoon. The Majuro Lagoon is a massive body of sheltered water enclosed by the 64 islands of the Majuro Atoll, roughly 40 by 10 km in shape. Crossing this expanse en route to remote islets on the norther shore, you get to see an endless idyllic landscape and procession of picture perfect palm-fringed islets with white sand beaches, totally desolate, and one prettier and more fairy tale than the other.
